The Inn
Shirakaba is a great place to host your wedding, birthday or anniversary party, a girl or boy get-away weekend, or a craft weekend. Louise gives sewing and basketry lessons. Louise and Sadao are happy to help make the occasion special in any way they can. See Private Functions for more information.
Picnics
Whether you want to have an elegant picnic at Tanglewood or a packed lunch for your hike, we are happy to prepare a picnic or Bento meal for you with tasty, seasonal items of your choosing. Menus change weekly, and will be emailed upon request. Picnics are available in hiking and bike friendly settings. We can provide dishes and glassware for picnics as well.

Private Functions
We can accommodate private functions also. In the winter, our capacity is 20 people. With the addition of a tent in warmer weather, we can accommodate larger gatherings.
